بسته نرم افزاری بسيار پرکاربرد و قدرتمندی است که از سوی شرکت مايکروسافت، غول نرم افزاری جهان عرضه شده است. نسخه 2008 اين بسته دو نرم افزار را درون خود جای داده است که يکی Student می باشد که يک مرجع کامل از اطلاعات و ابزارهای لازم برای انجام دادن تکالیف مدرسه در دوران دبیرستان و کالج می باشد و همچنين نرم افزار Encarta که دايرة المعارف بسيار معروف و قدرتمند ديگر نرم افزار موجود در اين بسته است.
امکان جالبی که به اين نسخه اضافه شده است “حل کننده معادلات ریاضی” است که با وارد کردن معادله ریاضی، به جای ارائه جواب مسئله، مراحل حل اين نوع معادله نشان داده می شود.
همچنين ماشین حساب مهندسی موجود در این نرم افزار، امکان رسم هر نوع منحنی ریاضی را فراهم می سازد.
